What Is LED Pixel Pitch?
Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the centres of adjacent pixels on an LED display, typically expressed in millimetres. It is an important specification because it helps describe the density of pixels across the screen.
A smaller pixel pitch generally allows more pixels within a given area, which can improve detail at closer viewing distances. The appropriate choice still depends on the content, screen size, viewing conditions, and budget.
Pixel Pitch Versus Resolution
Resolution describes the number of pixels used to form an image, while pixel pitch describes the spacing between pixels on the physical display. The total pixel resolution of an LED wall depends on its dimensions and the selected panel configuration.
Do not assume that every indoor LED wall provides 4K or 8K resolution. Ask for the actual pixel dimensions and supported input resolutions for the proposed screen.
How to Select the Right Configuration
Start by measuring the intended viewing distance and the available installation area. Then compare pixel pitch, physical screen dimensions, brightness, content sources, and maintenance requirements across suitable models.
